JALAN Civic Lab’s Executive Director Selected as Creative Climate Fellow

Bangkok, Thailand

JALAN Civic Lab is pleased to share that Matt Yutthaworakool, Executive Director, has been selected to join the inaugural cohort of the Creative Climate Fellowship, a pioneering initiative by Cuttlefish Digital and LoveFrankie.

The Creative Climate Fellowship is an eight-month, remote-first programme designed to build the next generation of climate communicators and campaigners across Asia and the Pacific. With the global information and media landscape rapidly evolving, climate and social movements must adapt their strategies to stay relevant and effective. This fellowship offers participants a rare opportunity to gain immersive, hands-on experience in digital campaigning and climate storytelling—at a time when these skills are more vital than ever.

Matt’s selection reflects JALAN Civic Lab’s growing emphasis on creative, intersectional, and justice-oriented approaches to climate communication. His participation will deepen the organisation’s capacity to merge civic empowerment with environmental storytelling—ensuring that youth voices and grassroots perspectives remain central to Southeast Asia’s climate future.

Follow along as we share updates from this exciting journey throughout 2025.
