About the Seminar

In commemoration of its 26th anniversary, The Habibie Center is organising the International Seminar “Reimagining ASEAN for the Future: Navigating Regional and Global Dynamics in a Multipolar World.” The seminar will gather scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from across the region to reflect on how ASEAN can respond to shifting geopolitical landscapes, deepen regional cooperation, and protect human security in an increasingly digital, interconnected world.

Matt’s contribution on scams, labour trafficking, and ASEAN digital governance will spotlight the urgent need for regional collaboration, stronger regulatory frameworks, and people-centred digital policies that safeguard vulnerable communities while strengthening trust in cross-border digital ecosystems.

If you are interested in future thinking on civic, climate, digital, and data democracy, JALAN Civic Lab welcomes opportunities to collaborate. Contact: jalanciviclab@gmail.com
